Background
Econintel was founded as a treasury consultancy in 1976 by Trevor Underwood, Econintel’s Managing Director. Development of integrated treasury systems started in 1979. The Econintel group is now dedicated solely to the further development, support and marketing of the Econintel Treasury System (ETS). Prior to founding the Econintel Group, Trevor Underwood worked successively for the Bank of England, the International Monetary Fund in Washington, and the UK Treasury and was a UK Advisor to the Committee of Twenty on Reform of the International Monetary System. He is a Fellow of the UK Association of Corporate Treasurers and a Member of the US Association for Financial Professionals.
The Econintel Group comprises a UK holding company, Econintel Information Services Ltd, which owns a UK operating company, Econintel Treasury Systems Ltd. The UK operating company, Econintel Treasury Systems Ltd., is located in Colchester, England, and is responsible for the development and technical support of the ETS software and for marketing and local support for the ETS software.
